LILY IS ONE YEAR OLD
Who would have thought that one year ago our little princess was born. It has been a fun 12 months and we look forward to many more years of enjoyment with our littlest lady.

Over the past month Lily has been achieving milestones left right and centre. She was behind other kids her age in gross motor skills and crawling so we took her to a physio who played with her to see what she could do and taught mum exercises to strengthen her tummy muscles. Low and behold Lily decided to start crawling 2 days later. It was incredible how she went from not even being close to crawling one day to crawling the next. (i suspect nan nan had a bit to do with it though). Now Lily crawls everywhere and finds it much more fun to play in the lounge room as she doesnt have to cry out to be moved to other toys.

Along with the new found skill of crawling Lily decided that she would catch up to all her peers in milestones and started pulling her self up onto furniture etc and then started to walk along the furniture holding on to it for support. James and Heather from the little town of Mt Hunter were here with their little daughter Olivia while all these milestones were occuring and believe they are the good luck charms. If we end up behind in milestones again we will be inviting them back for another visit. We think the crawling craze wont last long and Lil will be walking around be fore we know it. Looks like some serious baby proofing will occur in our house before too long.

Lily's birthday party was really fun. Lily enjoyed all the attention she received and loves opening presents. Lots and lots of toys to play with especially Little People toys which seem to be a favourite of hers. She had visitors from Ingleburn, The Oaks, Adelong, Gosford, Central Wagga, Lake Albert, Kooringal, Turvey Park and Glenfield Park. The weather ended up being quite good and the rain stayed away long enough for dad to cook the barbie with plenty of advice from the blokes who came out to watch. Lily's cake was in the shape of Spot the dog and was lovingly made by mum and Lily though it was TOPS. As you can see in the pictures above Lily liked the icing. (Lollies were generously donated by Sweet Prescriptions at The Old Pharmacy in Adelong) By the end of the day Lily was zonked out and had a looooong sleep to recharge for the next day.

Other new thngs that Lily has begun to do this month include washing her own hair and face in the bath, waving to everyone when we leave shops, saying hello especially on the phone, blows kisses, crawling away when mummy says it is bedtime or time to get out of the bath. Standing up in her cot and yelling when she is awake or when we have first put her to bed and she thinks it isnt time for bed yet. Her teeth total has reached 12 with molars coming through and our option of checking her mouth with our fingers a thing of the past. Fake sneezing is one of her favourite things to do when she is showing off in front of people

The littlest lady contiues to make our lives so much fun. We wouldnt swap her for anything. Not even a block of chocolate.

Hugs for a special Grandad
Lily playing with her Mummy
Just a quick update to let you know how the little lady is going. She has turned in to a rather funny little bugger. Her latest faze is to perform fake sneezes (very funny to watch).
We are still going to a an OT (occ therapist) roughly every 2-4 weeks to work on crawling, Lily has had HUGE improvements. She now gets into the crawling position and rocks but hasnt moved forward as yet.. but were close.
Lilys current favourite things to do are: Wave to EVERYONE, brushing hair, brushing teeth and dancing whilst standing. She is a very loveable girl who always manages to get smiles out of everyone.. We couldnt imagine life without her.

Lily loved the Adelong Fair, especially the bells we bought her.
Lily in mum's Glenquarie towing shirt from when she was a little tacker
What a busy time for the Little Lily. We have sold and moved from our Maple rd house to another house in Lake Albert. The new house is in Gregory Cres and is bigger than the previous house. Lily doesnt seem to miss the other house as she can sit at the glass doors and talk to the dogs, has plenty of room to move around in the lounge room and has a huuuuuuge bath to splash around in at bath time.
Lily seemed to have no problems during the move. Her first night in the new house went by with no worries. I'm sure she cant wait to have a swim in the pool when it is warm enough to do that sort of thing.
Recently we went to the Adelong Fair. We bought Lily a bells on handle toy and she loved it. She would not let it go the entire time we were there and had great delight in shaking it to get other peoples attention. Grandma and Grandad Taylor are moving back to Adelong soon so Lily will be able to annoy them in the shop as she grows up and visits them. They will need to put the lollies on higher shelves soon because when she starts walking i reckon we are in for trouble. Dad was a terrible toddler and i'm sure we have a mini me in the making.
Lily continues to enjoy herself and is always happy to play pick a boo with anyone who is willing. We are lucky to have such a top little tot.

Loch Lily monster
Clap clap clap
Well it has been a month since the last entry and Lily has changed a lot. We have been house hunting and this has taken a lot of our time hence the few blogs lately.
Finally we found a house with 4 bedrooms, a pool, and a biiiiiiiig kitchen. Lily seems to like it and it will be interesting to see how she goes in the bathroom that can only be described as............. different.
Lily has started seeing an Occupational Therapist as she has not mastered the art of crawling yet. The OT said that Lily is too strong in the extender phase and needs to build up her reflex muscle strength. We have been given exercises to build up these muscles as well as practice the crawling actions.
Lily is now eating lots of new things and is willing to eat anything except bananas. Interesting that dad doesnt like bananas either. The Sao's are a favourite and vegemite toast for breakfast is what she loves.
At present Lily loves her outings and going to the lagoon to feed the ducks gives her greatest joy. Walking around the shops in the pouch with dad is always fun and hanging out out of the pram is her new trick when close to the shelves, plenty of items have been snavelled by the little lady.
We have recently bought her a swing that has been under the carport for her to swing in and look at the dogs while mum and dad do things in the backyard. Lily could spend all day in the swing if given the chance. I'm sure Monty would love to protect her too for the whole day.
We had a garage sale recently to try and offload some of our unwanted stuff to unsuspecting buyers. Lily helped mum in selling some of the goods but we didnt sell everything so Lily had to talk the local furniture man into buying the rest of the stuff off us.
Lily has been such a happy littlest lady lately and is getting really good at clapping and waving at others. We are lucky to have such a happy baby girl.

Eeeny meeny miney mo.
What a happy little vegemite
Lovely Lily
Lily had a fun trip down to Dolphin Point to celebrate Grandad Ray's 60th birthday. It was a surprise party and Lily did very well not telling Grandad about it. lily had a ball down the coast and was fairly well behaved in the car. She slept in the same room as mum and dad without too much grunting and snoring.
lily had some photos taken at the Wagga Wagga marketplace and enjoyed the experience. She put on her best smiles and loved the lambskin she was seated on for the photos looks like we will have to get her one to lay on during winter. Im sure mum will enjoy laying on it too.
We have been house hunting and Lily lets us know if she likes the houses by laughing and playing or by grunting and whinging. She's funny like that.
