Lily and mum got to come home on the 6/7/2006.
Mum was stressing about expressing and coping with burping the littleone when she was by herself so, in consultation with the peadeatrician we decided that we will have to go with feeding Lily formula as Becs milk is taking way too long to arrive. The paediatrician said it is important that mum be healthy and unstressed too and the stress caused by the feeding, expressing and burping whilst alone was not worth it.
Dad drove his two girls home and met Granny Taylor there as he had to go to work. Lynn helped becduring the day showing her some do's and dont's of looking after a little girl.
Dad got home at 5pm and Lily was fast asleep. He wasnt allowed to hold her until she stirred around 7pm. We then bathed her, changed the nappy and cleaned up after an impromptu poo whilst changing the nappy. She copped a feed and then took a while to settle and burp.
a fun night was had by all with only 3 feeds. Not too bad.

My secret for burping babies was to allow them to lie flat for a few minutes after feeding, then to SLOWLY bring them up to vertical. Gravity takes care of the rest! My only advice, promise....
