Lily spent the first night by herself with her mum on Friday night. Dad was at The Oaks for a dinner on the Saturday night. From all reports the night went off without a hitch and Lily was a little angel (as always). The only problem for mum was the windy weather that kept the dogs awake and in turn kept mum awake. Lily thought it was all boring and slept through it all.
The station wagon is being repaired after the accident in early August so mum has a courtesy bomb from the smash repairers to drive herslef and Lily around in. Hopefully we can get our car back real soon.
Lily is spending today at mothers group. Probably talking their ears off again. After mothers group she will be going to visit her new friend Austin Wilkinson who was born on Sunday night to Matt and Mich Wilkinson. Now there is plenty of babies to play with each other as they grow up.

Yesterday Lily had a huge giggling session. Her mum was poking her tongue out at her and Lily thought it was the funniest thing she had ever seen. Great entertainment for mum and dad. She is a happy little lady most of the time. Just dont take the bottle away from her before she has finished. Boy you cop it then.

Having a cuddle with Grandma Sue
Looking beautiful in her denim skirt (i think the flash stunned her a bit)
Having a bath with Grandma Lynn
Waking up in mum and dad's room
Enough said.Lily has continued on her extended sleeps and hopefully (pleasssssse) she has stopped the 4 hourly feeds at night. Her record so far is 7.30pm to 6am.
After her 4am feeds lately she has decided to chat to herself for 45 minutes before going to sleep. She is funny when she does this talking in her own language. She certainly sounds happy while she is doing it.
It is now time for mum and dad to keep more of an eye on her as she is getting very good at moving herself around by kicking and dragging with her heels. She is now being strapped into the bouncer and wakes up at the very bottom of her basinette after moving so much when she wakes and chats to herslef.

Lily went to be weighed on Tuesday at the community nurse's place. She was 5.4kg with clothes on which is an increase of 400g in the past 2 weeks. She is polishing off her bottles really well these days with minimal spews after she finishes.
Lily's favourite toy and the moment is her play gym which she lays in and hits the toy animals that hang down. She is a talkative little lady and will always chat with new people she has not met before.
She must have an alarm clock in her room because no matter what time she goes to sleep she is always waking at 4.30am for a chat to herself before she cries out for a feed.

Lily really does love her mum despite the face she is pulling here
What a happy little lady
a drawing by grandma Lynn of Lily in the pot.Lily went to Mike's cousin Jono's 30th party at the Magpie's Nest and met a lot of new people. She was very good and slept through most of the evening. At bottle time she got to be passed around by plenty of people and Jono was taught how to hold a baby by Aunty Jane.
Today we went to watch the runners and riders finish the Lake to Lagoon fun run. Mum is keen to ride the race next year with Lily in a seat or trailer on the back of dads bike. Sounds interesting.
Lily has continued her 7-8 hour sleeping period each night which is great for mum and dad. Lets hope she continues. She has started waking at 4am and talking to herself for about 30 mins before having a whinge for a feed. Funny little girl she is.

Lily has had a good week. She has been having a lot more play time during the day. No option for mum and dad, Lily wants to play and will not sleep until she has had some. This extra playtime though does make for longer sleeps so there is a positive out of the extra awake time. Lily slept from 7pm to 6am on Friday night giving mum a nice birthday present of a full nights sleep. The painting of her hands and feet is for mums birthday present. Dad and Lily had lots of fun painting the picture.
On mums birthday was rugby grand final day and Lily and mum came to watch the 2nd grade Rivcoll team win the premiership for the 4th year in a row. Lily wore the jumper made for her by Mike's Aunty Jane. She looked really good in it too.
For Fathers day Lily spent most of her time sleeping. We did have a bit of play time and she talked and talked and talked.
