At the races
On Saturday Lily went for her first trip to the races. It was a positive having Lily there as we got to go in quickly instead of lining up with all the uni students for about 20 minutes. Once inside Lily liked looking at the horses getting ready for their races. She met Blake (Tania Smith's little boy) who was infatuated with Lily. They played together for a lot of the afternoon. Olivia also came to the races as well as Austin. They had some photos together and did really well being passed around and not having too many cries. Lily had one trip out to the front of the races but was a little scared of all the loud and slightly intoxicated uni students.
On Monday she took Aunty Viv and Uncle Geoff their birthday presents and showed them that she is a happy little lassie.
She continues to make mum and dad proud parents and seems to be a happy lady.

Lily having a chat with Grandad Taylor
BIG NEWS!!!!!!!
Lily has had her 2nd tooth break through right next to the other one. Sharp little things they are too. Lily is pretty proud of them and likes rubbing her bottom lip over them. As you can see in the photo above she loves to have a chew on her hand. We have bought teething rings but her hand always seems tastier.

feeling a little sad
playing with Mr Butterfly (one of her favourite toys)
Lily went to the gym with mum on Wednesday and spent an hour in the creche there. She fell asleep for 30mins of it so wasnt too impressed with the gym but can now boast that she has been to the gym. From the look of her musclely arms she may have been working out with mum without dad knowing.
Lily has been very happy lately and loves staring at mum and dad. I'm sure we dont have anything on our faces but she stares all the same. She loves going shopping so shecan look at everything going on down town. We will have to get a photo of her in her new inflatable pool.
Mum thinks Lily is just the best baby going around and loves her to bits. Dad thinks she is pretty tops too.

Lily and mum in dresses on a hot Wagga Wagga day
Lily has had a good week. She has kept to her 9pm to 6am sleeps but does wake for a 1 hour chat to herself around 4am. She doesnt whinge at all just has a chat, not sure if she is talking to her toys or to herself but she seems to enjoy herself whilst doing it.
The hot weather hasnt been great for her. She hasnt liked being wrapped up for a sleep in the heat but loves having minimal clothes on. As she gets older dad will ensure she keeps her clothes on though. We can be sure of that. She likes to fight her way out of her wrap when sleeping and has a good old whinge during the day to try and stay awake and in the least amount of clothes possible.
Mum was very proud of her little lady on Friday 13th as Lily had her first tooth come through. Mum's first tooth came through at a similar age. Unsure of dad's first tooth though. Dad didnt believe it but soon found out when giving Lily a suck on his finger and Lily trying to bite through with her toothy bit. Sharp little thing it is too.
Lily had another trip to a pub. She went to the Black Swan for a farwewell for a Rivcoll player and spent some time with her friends Austin and Olivia. Tania Smith loves seeing Lily and having a hold and a chat.
House hunting is still going on and Lily puts up with being carried around by dad through all the houses. She hasnt claimed any rooms yet as kids are prone to doing when going through houses but im sure shell speak up soon. We cant shut her up any other time.
With christmas coming up it looks like she'll be getting heaps of toys etc from family and i reckon we'll have to fill the inflatable baby pool a fair bit to cool her down.

Lily with the toys she won at the Wagga Wagga Show
Last week Lily had her first trip to the Wagga Wagga Show. She was amazed by the lights and loud noises coming from the rides and amusement games like the clowns. Her eyes were wide (as usual) trying to take it all in. After a while she got tired and fell asleep in the pouch. Mum and dad checked out the scones which didnt look that great, dad could win that competition if he was organised enough.
Before she went to the show she went and visited Austin at his house. Lily had a big stare at Austin while she was there. He was having a feed.
Lily has started to talk a bit while she is having her bottle. She will just start talking in her own little language with the bottle still in her mouth. It is a funny thing to see but not a good omen for dad. I have a feeling Lily is going to be Little Miss Chatterbox. Please help me. She has also started to grip her toys a lot more firmly in the past week too which dad is very proud of.
All in all she is a very happy little lady and is growing well and keeping her mum and dad amused whenever she is awake.

Lily enjoying herself in the car seat.
Wanting to look like mum.
Lily has really started to imitate our actions. When we make a purring noise Lily makes a gurgling sound in the back of her throat. When we blow rasberries at her she sticks her tongue out too. She is a smart little tacker.
Lily really enjoys going for a drive and as you can see in the above photo gets right into it. she regularly falls asleep on the drive from home to downtown Wagga Wagga. But loves being awake and looking everywhere when in the pouch walking around the shops. Does that bode well for futre trips to the shops? If so she will always be going shopping with her mum.

Lily in a nice little dress at the dinner for Uncle Geoff's birthday.

Lily has had an interesting weekend. She has been helping mum and dad get the house ready for an inspection by the real estate agents. We are selling the house to look for a bigger house that will hopefully fit all our stuff. Lily sat out the back in her portable basinette and talked to mum and dad.

The car is finally back from the smash repairers and looking a treat with the bonnet and light protectors. Lily loves going for a drive and mum likes driving the Ford better than the bomb we had as a courtesy car.
