Resting after a tiring ride
What shall I throw on the floor next?
Yay for my bike trailer
They capture you every time you look into them dont they.
In travelling mode
Lily has said her first word.
Much to mum's disgust it was 'daddy'. She said it twice within about half an hour and dad was very happy with her little Lily. Mum was happy that she had said something just would have preferred a mum mum or something similar. So it looks like she's a daddy's girl.
Lily has also started to have about 3 more teeth cutting through. She has been very grouchy the last few days and chewing more than usual on her teething toys.
Day care has been going great. Today Mum got into trouble because Lily was trying to eat the other kids food. She loves her food but we didnt think that much. Looks like we will have to pack more food for her on Tuesdays. Lily was very happy to see her mum arrive to pick her up today. Mum loves to see her little lady get excited to see her. It gives her happy tingles.

Lily likes to have control of the remote
Sucking on watermelon is the best.
The happy little girl
Mum and dad have bought a trailer for dad's bike so Lily can come for rides. She doesn’t seem to mind it but prefers to be in snugly as she is a little lady and can be moved around a bit by the bumps. Pictures to come.

Lily has been going really well at day care and is now on a full day. She has fun and is very interested in what the big kids are doing especially Cooper, a 3 year old boy. A little young for boyfriends yet though.

We have put all her toys for the lounge room in a yellow bucket and Lily loves pulling them all out and getting us to put them back in so she can pull them all out again. This keeps her happy and out of trouble. Although when she is really enjoying herself she loves to do screams of delight. They are LOUD and frequent when they occur.

It has been a long time between blog entries
Lily has been growing up every day. She has started sitting up by herself, has rolled from her back to her front (even if mum and dad missed it happening) and has been to the pool for several swims.
Lily loves sitting up by herself and playing with her toys. She still struggles a little with balance when reaching for some things but overall has been really good at sitting and paying. She loves sitting in her swing chair for her solids and doesnt mind the pureed fruit for dessert when she can get it. Today she had her first go in the high chair for breakfast and palyed with some measuring cups while waiting for it to be prepared. The game she found out straight away was that dad would get any cups that fell on the floor so any cups were thrown on the floor as soon as they were in her hand. Funny stuff.................... For her.
The other day she rolled from her back to her front for the first time. Mum and dad didnt see it happen and Lily looked a little shocked herslef when we found her on her front. We are proud of her though because it didnt look like she was going to do it. She has decided the best way to get around is on her back and pushing herself around with her heels and head. She can be quite quick in this mode of travel as Sparky (Granny Taylor's dog) has found out.
Mum has started taking Lily to the Oasis pool in Wagga Wagga. Lily loves going for a swim and has a good time sitting in her seat floaty or being held in the water. She has a tendency to want to look at her feet and copping a face full of water though.
The first day of day care was last week as mum had to start back at work. Lily seemed to cope ok. Mum had a little trouble letting her baby spend time with the day care mum but Lily was fine and had fun playing with the other kids and slept well when put down for a sleep. Lets hope it continues to be a happy time and mum gets used to it too.
