LILY IS ONE YEAR OLD
Who would have thought that one year ago our little princess was born. It has been a fun 12 months and we look forward to many more years of enjoyment with our littlest lady.

Over the past month Lily has been achieving milestones left right and centre. She was behind other kids her age in gross motor skills and crawling so we took her to a physio who played with her to see what she could do and taught mum exercises to strengthen her tummy muscles. Low and behold Lily decided to start crawling 2 days later. It was incredible how she went from not even being close to crawling one day to crawling the next. (i suspect nan nan had a bit to do with it though). Now Lily crawls everywhere and finds it much more fun to play in the lounge room as she doesnt have to cry out to be moved to other toys.

Along with the new found skill of crawling Lily decided that she would catch up to all her peers in milestones and started pulling her self up onto furniture etc and then started to walk along the furniture holding on to it for support. James and Heather from the little town of Mt Hunter were here with their little daughter Olivia while all these milestones were occuring and believe they are the good luck charms. If we end up behind in milestones again we will be inviting them back for another visit. We think the crawling craze wont last long and Lil will be walking around be fore we know it. Looks like some serious baby proofing will occur in our house before too long.

Lily's birthday party was really fun. Lily enjoyed all the attention she received and loves opening presents. Lots and lots of toys to play with especially Little People toys which seem to be a favourite of hers. She had visitors from Ingleburn, The Oaks, Adelong, Gosford, Central Wagga, Lake Albert, Kooringal, Turvey Park and Glenfield Park. The weather ended up being quite good and the rain stayed away long enough for dad to cook the barbie with plenty of advice from the blokes who came out to watch. Lily's cake was in the shape of Spot the dog and was lovingly made by mum and Lily though it was TOPS. As you can see in the pictures above Lily liked the icing. (Lollies were generously donated by Sweet Prescriptions at The Old Pharmacy in Adelong) By the end of the day Lily was zonked out and had a looooong sleep to recharge for the next day.

Other new thngs that Lily has begun to do this month include washing her own hair and face in the bath, waving to everyone when we leave shops, saying hello especially on the phone, blows kisses, crawling away when mummy says it is bedtime or time to get out of the bath. Standing up in her cot and yelling when she is awake or when we have first put her to bed and she thinks it isnt time for bed yet. Her teeth total has reached 12 with molars coming through and our option of checking her mouth with our fingers a thing of the past. Fake sneezing is one of her favourite things to do when she is showing off in front of people

The littlest lady contiues to make our lives so much fun. We wouldnt swap her for anything. Not even a block of chocolate.
