This baby is certainly being a stubborn little thing. Still no real contractions but a lot of back pian for mum and its a struggle to move anywhere quickly (funny to watch too).

At least it has decided to wait until after June 30 so oue baby bonus will be $4000 instead of $3000. One bonus i suppose.

Come on little tacker. Time to come out. come on you can do it.

The babay still hasnt come. Bec has been bouncing on the ball and walking all day. Nothing to report in the way of contractions. Bec reckons it is being stubborn like its dad.

Today Bec had her appointment with Dr Angus. He did an inspection and not long after getting home Bec had her 'Show'. Since then Bec has had a few pains but no real big ones.

Dr Angus is going on holidays on Sunday. If it doesnt come by then it will have to stay in until he comes back.

Still no baby. You must be thinking we are making the pregnancy up.

We went for a big walk along the river bank today and strolled around the shops to try and coax the labour to begin. Nothing has happened yet.

All we can do is wait.........

I hate waiting.

Today is the due date

a bit of movement and a few pains today but no baby has come out yet.

Bec has been bouncing on the ball, and being quite active but it hasnt helped bring on the contractions.

So starts the waiting game.

A couple of days since the last post but nothing to report in regards to a birth. sorry.

On Friday Mike went to Sydney to attend a training day for his new job. after 4 hours in the air and a refuel at Wollongong due to a thick fog in Sydney Mike got to the training 4 hours late. his return flight to Wagga was also delayed due to fog at Wagga airport. Bec was a little frantic as she thought she Mike might miss the birth if she started getting contractions. it ended up all ok.

saturday was spent watching wagga city and waratahs play at connolly park before dinner at Uncle Geff's to see mum and dad Davis.

Today Bec has had a few pains. we went for a big walk around town and the botanic gardens to try and start something but no luck. Bec is now resting after a big day.

Bec had a quiet today with little pain.

Mike got a new job today and has to go to Sydney for some training tomorrow. So Bec will have to cross her legs and the little tacker will have to wait until Mike returns. or else.

Wednesday, June 21, 2006

Last night Bec had a very restless night with false contractions and plenty of movement from the little tacker. Mike thought the birth was going to happen for sure.

it didn't.

Bec went to see Dr Angus for her weekly appointment today. He said it still looks like it will come early next week. I'm sure Bec wont mind if it comes any time soon.

Bec has asked Mike to put his poem to the baby on the site.

Here tis.

Two, four, six, eight
Time to come out
Mum can't wait

Here is the latest picture of the baby.

Bec is really feeling uncomfortablewith the baby moving closer to engaging. she now drives the car only when she has to but is really enjoying cooking during her time at home. The baby is quite active.

Monday, June 19, 2006

Today Bec has been very uncomfortable with a sore back and reckons the little tacker is headbutting her pelvis when she walks. Mike is going ok. no pain for him. Lots of back rubs are the order from the pregnant one.

For those who dont remember us here is a picture of the lovely parents of the little tacker

no udpate yesterday. bec has had a few more intense false contractions and was woken last night by some tightening of stomach. still no serious contractions but they cant be too far away.

We saw Dr Angus while grocery shopping this morning. I didnt think obstetricians had days off. today after shopping Bec has been for a walk and has been resting for the upcoming hardwork at the hospital.

Friday, June 16, 2006

Bag is now packed for the hospital. Today bec had some false contractions during lunch that almost made her stop eating lunch. as if that would happen. Still no real contractions but lots of movement. Bec thinks she has more room around her stomach now and is breathing a lot better. not long to go.

Thursday, June 15, 2006

today was a quiet day with mum relaxing at home. There was the regular kicks and movements (by the baby not bec) Bec's family scared her last night on the phone saying that they reckoned she was going to go into labour at 3.30am last night. False alarm.

This is the last ultrasound picture we have from when Bec was in hospital after a scare at 24 weeks of pregnancy. The placenta tore and forced Bec to have 2 1/2 weeks in hospital and then a further 2 1/2 weeks of complete bedrest. Scary times.

This was the 2nd ultrasound taken by doctor Angus on 18.12.2005. Almost looks like a baby if you look hard and squint a little.

This was the first ultrasound of the little tacker. It was done on 10/11/2005.

Obstetrician appointment today. Dr Angus is happy with progress and reckons that June 26 is the likely pop time. He did however say to pack the bag as the baby could decide to come at any time.
